Sweet Summertime

We are having a wonderful summer! We've had fun playdates, made crafts, learned about the Fruit of the Spirit through a great Bible study, visited Oklahoma,  made Pinterest projects, played in the rain, and swam, swam, swam! Looking back through our pictures, I realize I haven't taken many pictures though. I'll try to do better the second half (or less) of the summer. Here are some I did take... I do love summertime!

Grace had her very first ballet recital the first of June. She did GREAT! Watching little three year olds dance is really good for the soul--we laughed until we cried--they were so darn cute! Here's our star with her roses from us after the show.

Some of her adoring fans who came to watch--Anna, Daphne, and Leah!
Jackson brought her flowers, too! It was his idea :) Apparently, he marched into the grocery store with $5 and told the florist he needed flowers for his girlfriend. She LOVED getting them, too. We're in trouble!

The next weekend we headed to Ft. Worth to spend the weekend with Destin and Nash (Mark was out of town). We went to their Children's Museum which was great! The kids love cousin time!

One morning we went to the Arboretum and did a nature scavenger hunt. I found one online with pictures and the kids found most of the items. We will definitely do this again when it is cooler in the fall.

Ready to find her treasures!

We spent a long weekend in Oklahoma with my parents and had a wonderful time. These pictures are downtown OKC which is so nice now! I'm so impressed with the changes they've made--love my hometown!

Watching Brave at the Drive-in with Disney...She spent a week with us in June. The kids loved having their cousin with us!

My dad's happy place...kayaking on the river

We've spent much of the summer swimming with friends--this picture cracks me up because the boys are usually the best of friends! This was at the end of a long day...they're saying "enough is enough!"

Grace and I had a Mommy and me date to go ice skating at the Galleria one afternoon while Ty took Jake to a Lego Exhibit. She liked the idea of skating but was scared to fall. We'll definitely try this again this winter.

A random picture of Jake playing with some slime we made. We've done several craft projects--this was a fun day when the Mathews' and Quinn's came over and we made homemade play-doh and slime on a rainy day. The play-doh didn't turn out so well, but the kids loved the slime.
