Jake Butler Mccathran is now here. Amy went in for an induction early on Thursday, Feb. 1st. The monitor's in the rooms kept up with not only Amy's contractions but everyone's on the floor. This is the left picture. We spent the day taking bets on who would get to the green screen mode first (as shown in the picture on the right). Amy's labor lasted 15 hours so we had plenty of time to find out that the OB was a LSU alumnus and that the delivery room nurse and I had a friend in common. The 3 of us helped bring Jake into the world at 10:06 PM weighing 8 lbs. 7 oz. and measuring 21.5 inches long. Our family anxiously waited outside of the room excited to meet little Jake.
