The inaugural trip

My beloved Honda Accord officially died a few weeks ago, and I'm now the proud owner of a mini-van. I guess I'm officially a "soccer mom" except my kids don't play soccer :) We bought a used Honda Odyssey and I have to say it is one great vehicle--so family friendly and great for the kids! Mini-vans might have a bad rap, but they certainly are convenient. Jonesa and I took it on its first road trip this past weekend to visit to Destin and Nash. It made traveling with the kids so much easier! We had a girl's weekend (+Jake and Nash) because Mark was on a mission trip to Mexico. Ty ended up going to Marshall for the weekend and enjoyed spending time with Eric, Jill, and his dad at the lake.

It's always great fun to watch the kids play together. Grace and Nash are just so cute together! Nash was sweet to share all of his toys, and they all got along great. Sunday, Casey got to come over too, and we had a fun afternoon at the park and then ate some great food at Babe's. Nash and Grace seriously had eating contests all weekend. They might both just be barely one, but they both can eat! Monday we took a train ride along the Trinity Trail which Jake especially loved.

I'm continually thankful that I married into a family that I just really like :)
