Neverland

We celebrated Jake and Grace's birthdays together this year with a party at our local Children's museum. I picked a Neverland theme because Jake loves Peter Pan and Captain Hook and Grace loves Tinkerbell, and it's just fun! All of the grandparents came for the party as well as their cousin Gentry. She and Grace are the best of friends had had so much fun playing dolls and dress-up all weekend. She and Jake love each other, too--so sweet!

For the party, I made a pirate hat cake thanks to the Disney Family Fun website. It was my first decorative cake to ever turn out like the picture--I was proud, but more importantly, Jake LOVED it! I made Grace cupcakes, as per her request, and bought tinkerbell toppers for those. The Children's Museum was a great place for the party. All of the kids played and played, ate some cake, and then played some more! I debated about doing a craft with them but am glad I didn't because they would have been sad to sit still.

I had fairy wings for the girls to wear and pirate hats and "Jake and the Neverland Pirate" bandanas for the boys to wear and then did Neverland inspired goody bags.

Both kids had a blast with all of their friends and the museum is one of their favorite places to go. I'm not sure if I'll do a joint party again but this year it was perfect! Here are a few pictures from the day. I'm sad I didn't get a picture of all of their friends, but here are some highlights!
