Well, I've decided to take over the blogging duties from Ty since I'm officially a "stay at home mom." I'm going to go back this Spring a bit and catch up with some of Jake's milestones. We took Jake to see his Uncle Mark and Aunt Destin in Ft. Worth for his first Easter. He traveled so well (better than Gilbert actually!)...the car was loaded down with Jake and Gilbert in the back seat :) He got to meet his "Aunt" Jenny too who lives nearby and met us for dinner. On Saturday we took Jake to the Dallas Aquarium and when he wasn't sleeping, he really enjoyed looking at the bright colored fish. On Sunday, we got to see Destin perform in her church's Easter musical and see her sing with the praise team. Easter is my favorite holiday so I couldn't help but get Jake his first Easter basket (even though the last thing he needed was more stuff!). I can't wait for next year when we can color eggs and make my favorite Easter bunny cake. My favorite Easter memories are from college when we would go to sunrise service at Covenant and have those fun Easter picnics with the gang. What a blessing it is to make new memories with Ty and our precious Jake!
