Camping

We camped this weekend at Lake Livingston with Al and Jonesa and had a great adventure. Al and Jonesa have a camper, and we stayed in our tent next to the camper. This was both kids first experience staying in a tent and by night #2, they both did great :) Overall, both Jake and Grace loved the whole experience. Jake got to go kayaking with Daddy and go fishing with Daddy and Papa so it was the perfect weekend for him. Grace got to run around outside, get as dirty as possible, chase the dogs, and entertain us. She wasn't a fan of the tent the first night and kept our neighbors up for a good hour, but the second night when she got tired, she told us "night-night" and toddled over to the tent, got in, and went to sleep. It seems she learned the joys of camping :) We had perfect weather and couldn't have asked for a nicer weekend. Al and Jonesa cooked for us in their dutch oven, and it was nice to have the camper so the kids could take air-conditioned naps. I imagine we will have many more camping trips in our future!

Jake rode his tricycle all Saturday…he's almost outgrown it now…I think Santa might need to bring a big bike for Christmas!
