More Good News

Our cup "overfloweth" with good news this week! I talked to Jake's cardiologist's nurse this morning and she said Jake's holter test came back perfectly normal! No strange rhythms at all...Jake's cardiologist is on vacation with her family this week but she emailed in to say she that Jake can now start tapering off his beta blocker medication. She then ordered another echo for 2-3 weeks to see if taking him off the meds changes anything. We are so thankful that she is Jake's doctor. She's conscientious and caring and well, God has blessed us with the very best!

Then, the second piece of good news is that Jake's eyes checked out pretty good today! He had failed his four year old screening so we were referred to an ophthalmologist. One of his eyes is stronger than the other but not too much that the doctor is worried. We'll check again in 6 months and he may have to wear a patch to event them out. Easy enough. No glasses needed. Hooray!

P.S. The picture is of Jake playing doctor. He and Grace play heart surgeon all of the time and take turns being the doctor and patient and "fixing" each other's hearts. I'm not sure where the swimming goggles fit in, but they make for a great picture :)
