Family Weekend

We celebrated two holidays last weekend--Ty's birthday and Father's Day! For Ty's birthday I made him biscuits and gravy for breakfast , made his favorite chocolate chip cake, and the kids gave him a new basketball goal for the pool. His mom made him a birthday dinner so we went out to their house that evening. His sister Destin and nephew Nash were in for the weekend so that made it even more special. His grandad and Marie also got to come for dinner. While we were there we took this generational picture of the Cochran crew.
We also got this picture of the three grandkids...doesn't Jake look so proud to be holding the babies??
Friday my parents came into town for the weekend as well which was great because I hadn't been with my dad on Father's Day in years! We didn't do too much but relaxed at the house and enjoyed the pool and Jake and the sweet babies. Here's Jake in his new float for the pool--he's really gotten great at swimming with it and kicks and moves around the pool like a pro.
Here's a picture of the "twin cousins"--Nash and Grace. Nash is such a sweet baby and it was great to spend the whole weekend with him. He is such a great sleeper and I think he taught Grace a few things while he was here because the past two days she's taken 3 hours naps. Maybe Nash should come more often for more positive peer pressure :) They've already had their first fight too--Grace rolled over on him and he got mad and then she cried because he was crying! They're so cute together. My dad and Ty built Jake a train table which he already loves (he just doesn't have the trains yet!). I'll put pictures of that up once Ty paints it. Dad thought that would be a good indoor activity for Jake before and after surgery. Sunday we went to church and then went to Market Street Sunday night for dinner and for a walk. I just loved having Mom and Dad here and it was special to spend the day with my Dad!

Here's my Mom and the kids:

My Dad and I on Father's Day--I'm pretty sure I have the World's Greatest Dad :)

My dad and the kids--this was the end of the day and they were both tired...
