Oklahoma Roadtrip and a fun VBS!

The week after the 4th of July, I had a small surgery to remove my pesky kidney stones (problem now solved!) and then we headed up to Oklahoma to spend a week. Ryan and my parents had already gone back home after the 4th, but Crys and the kids had spent a few days with her grandparents in Houston and then rode back to Oklahoma with us. It was a great adventure with Crys and me and the 5 kids in the mini-van. They all, honestly, did great! We got to stop in Dallas for lunch to see my dear friend Randi and her mom and kids. That was a definite bonus to the trip!We had a nice week with my parents. It was also the week they had VBS at their church so Jake and Grace got to go to that each night with their cousins. It was Toy Story themed ("You've Got a Friend in Jesus") and so very cute! We had lots of QT with my parents and some playdates with the cousins. We enjoyed our trip but were also ready to head back home to Ty. Grace was especially missing her Daddy. Here are some fun pictures from the week:

Jake helping Poppy mow the lawn...he was his little shadow all week!

Grace having her first Icee from 7-11...an Oklahoma favorite!

Jake and me as Jake puts on a concert. The kids love Poppy's bongo drums!

Poppy teaching Jake yoga. Mom and Dad love yoga and apparently Jake does as well. One night he did a whole yoga workout video by himself and correctly. It was hilarious to watch! I'm thinking a gymnastics class this fall might be perfect for him!

J & G at my FAVORITE sandwich place ever...City Bites!

The five muskateers!

Kissing Cousins

Ready to head out to VBS the first night

Jake and Jesse...their youth group dressed up like the Toy Story characters. Jake home talking about Jesse and Barbie...

Gigi with Grace, Gentry, and their friend Avery at VBS.

Most of the Stump great-grandchildren at VBS. My cousin Lacey's daughter Londyn was in Jake's group all week.
