30 Years and counting...

JoDee and me...30 years of friendship!

The Thursday I was in Oklahoma I got to spend the morning with my dear friend JoDee. JoDee and I have been friends since Kindergarten so this will mark our 30th year of friendship! She has been a loyal friend for so many years and I truly treasure our friendship! It was wonderful to spend the morning with her and her precious daughter, Georgia. We had breakfast and then went out to see the Clydesdales at the Express Clydesdale Farm. JoDee and I don't get to see each other much, but when we do, we can quickly pick up where we left off last time. We just started planning our 40th birthday trip (which is, gulp, just 5 years away!)...we're going to take the girls on a trip to Prince Edward Island to visit the home of our favorite book character, Anne of Green Gables! I can't wait to introduce Grace to the world of Anne :)

In the meantime, we had a great visit and got some cute pictures of the kids:

A gorgeous Clydesdale...I wish I had a picture that showed just how big these are! I don't even really like horses, and I can appreciate their beauty :)

Georgia Grace!

Jake and Grace on an Oklahoma Stagecoach...love this picture! My great-grandfather came to Oklahoma territory in a covered wagon with a man named B.C. Clark who owns the most famous jewelry store in Oklahoma (if you're from there, you know the Christmas jingle for sure!) Just a little family history that isn't really related to the stagecoach, but it made me think of it :)

We had so much fun! Thanks for writing such a nice post! I am definitely looking forward to the trip and I know that Georgia will be too once she learns who Anne of Green Gables is! Won't this be fun to prepare them for the journey!! :):) Great idea Amy!
