Halloween was GREAT fun this year. I'm pretty sure J & G are at the perfect age...it's just fun to play dress up and get lots of candy...no scary stuff...just pure fun!
Jake decided to be Captain Hook this year and we coerced Gracie into being Tinkerbell so they would coordinate. Thanks to their dress up trunks from last Christmas, they were also able to make several costume changes. My friend Misty and I hit up after Halloween sales last year and made dress up trunks for the kids for Christmas. That was the best gift ever because they've played with the costumes all year and continue to do so.
We had a few different Halloween events this year...but the most fun was the American Heart Association and Texas Children's party at the Lanier's house. They had animals, blow-ups, crafts, and a great train ride, and the kids had a blast! We got some great pictures at the event:

Later that evening (the Saturday before Halloween), Misty and I took all of our kids to a local YMCA Halloween event with trick or treating in the woods. So after a quick costume change, the kids became Superman and Ariel :)

And then Halloween night, we went over to the Mathews' house for our second annual Halloween dinner. We ate pizza, went trick or treating, and then had a fun dessert.
