Memorial Day in Marshall

We spent Memorial Day weekend with in Marshall and had a great time with family. Jake and Grace had a great time playing with their cousins Nash and Elsie Jane and seeing all of their aunts and uncles! I think it does us all good to be in the country...we played outside, picked blackberries, fed cows, played at the lake, fished in the pond...made wonderful memories! Pops and Nonnie's house is always a fun adventure. And, thanks to Destin for most of these pictures! Our camera isn't working :(

Going to see the cows with Uncle Mark

Great picture of the ranch

Grace went blackberry picking with Destin and me and loved it! She ate them as fast as we picked them except for the ones she saved to feed the cows. Uncle Jose and Pops took her on the Rhino to feed the cows her leftover blackberries because she was convinced they were hungry and was concerned about them :)

Saturday we went out to Eric's lakehouse and Zach took us on a fun boat ride and the kids tried tubing with Ty. Eric cooked out really yummy brisket and ribs! Here are the four youngest cousins.

Here are all six grandkids with Pops. Poor Zach and Matt had to hold a screaming Grace and a screaming Nash :) Both Zach and Matt were in for the weekend and brought their sweet girlfriends, Maggie and Danielle. It was great spending time with them, too!

Elsie Jane reading the boys a story

The "twin" cousins played "Ring around the Rosies" all weekend long. How cute are they?

Pops reading Gracie a story (she shirtless because this was after blackberry picking and she was a mess! Hard to believe, right?)

Sunday night we went to a birthday party for my sister-in-law, Jolie. We went to eat at a Mexican restaurant in Shreveport and then went to her parents for cake. There was a band at the restaurant and the kids had an absolute blast dancing. Gracie ran straight out to the dance floor as soon as the music started and danced for quite awhile by herself. She amused all of the other tables :) She is definitely NOT shy and loves the spotlight!

Here's adorable Nash "playing" his fork as if it were a guitar. He was enamored by the guitar player because he LOVES guitars!
